News & Traffic Anchor/Reporter - Part time
Portland Radio Group, part of Saga Communications, has an immediate opening for a News and Traffic Reporter/Anchor. Responsibilities include swing duty as an anchor/reporter at Newsradio 560 WGAN, Road Patrol Reporter duties during inclement weather, and swing duty providing traffic updates for 5 radio stations and one television station weekday mornings. We’re looking for someone with ambition and passion. If you’re looking for an opportunity to:

IT Director
The Portland Radio Group/Saga Communications, Inc. has a unique opportunity for an IT Director. Responsibilities include overseeing local IT operations and assisting with regional IT duties at other Saga Communications stations. There will be occasional travel.
Your strengths would include:
- Knowledge of Network services, DHCP, WINS, DNS
- Understanding of Windows AD services, MCSE preferred
- Ability to support MS SQL, MS exchange, MS Office
- Experience in Symantec Backup Exec is critical
- Technical, writing, and communication skills
- Quickly learning new systems, and contribute to a team of IT engineers.
- Having three or more years experience in an IT environment which utilizes a process to track user access changes, system changes, and configuration management would be helpful
- Experience with SOX/Cisco/ITIL foundation/audio

Sales for Audio Production Company
Bluewave Creative, a part of the Portland Radio Group and Saga Communications, is an audio production company that creates radio commercials, musical jingles, podcasts, on-hold telephone advertising and voiceovers for television and the web. We're searching for a person to help us identify and secure new business from advertising agencies, businesses and nonprofit organizations. This is a commission only, part time position that allows a very flexible work schedule, preferably between four and twenty hours per week. Work from your home office or from our studios during business hours at times that fit your schedule.
Applicants should have the ability to comfortably approach business and agency executives. A knowledge of or previous experience in media sales, advertising or marketing is preferred, but is not a requirement.

The Marketing and Promotions department of the Portland Radio Group currently has openings for interns. Interns work flexible schedules, ranging from 4 to 40 hours each week. Most hours are worked between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, but occasional evening and weekend shifts are required. Interns are responsible for assisting in event preparation, writing of promotional scripts, website maintenance, and other duties as assigned. There are opportunities for the work of the intern to be tailored to his or her interests. Interns must be comfortable on the phone, with the public, and with computers. Internships at the Portland Radio Group are unpaid and are not a guarantee of future employment.
